Although there is not many COVID restrictions remaining, it is still important to be covid safety aware and maintain good hand hygiene.
In addition to group sessions back up and running, both juniors and adults can book one to one coaching sessions. If you would like to book individual lessons, please contact me directly and I can arrange.
Please see the below junior timetable for the next half term commencing 6th September 2021.
The block for this half term pay up front for the seven weeks up to the summer holidays the costs are £42 or for the Elites £70. Alternatively, I’m happy for those that want to, to ‘Pay As You Go’ and, in this case, I would ask that you let me know, sign-up basically, so I can confirm the viability of all respective sessions (I will be in touch if this is not the case). However, you may be aware that some junior sessions have proved to be very popular and, as we have limited numbers, please confirm your place as soon as possible.
(Note: an attendance register is maintained so Up Front payers can apply for a discount on future term payments).
Player members will need to continue to book in advance and pay online per session. All session fee costs are priced at £6.00 with the exception of the Elites which remain at £10.
As a reminder and for ease of reference, here are my bank account details.
You will see from the above timetable that there is a new session – Mini’s. We are looking to start a session for those aged 4 – 8 as an introduction to squash. The session is very much based on a Fun Factor. It will focus on hand eye coordination along with agility. Balance and coordination. If you or anyone you know that might be interested in joining in on this session, please get in touch (we need a minimum of 4 to make it viable).
There are two junior events that I would like to bring your attention to and encourage you to play. These are both the County Championships and the Regional Championships. Please don’t be put off by thinking that it is only an elite standard, both events are very much aimed at getting as many keen young squash players back into competitive matches with likeminded, similar ability players. Attached are the entry forms for the Herts Champs. Please note that the first closing date is for the U9 & U11 events is on 13th September. For the latest up to date news on Herts Squash check out the Herts Junior Squash Facebook page. The link to use for the Regional Champs is:
One of our players parents has kindly offered a few spaces in his car for the Regional Champs so if you are interested, please get in touch with me.
Men’s Team Training
This session has become a well-established session that gets our strongest team players together to train for an hour or so with there being a mix of both routines as well as condition games. Contact your team captain if you are interested in this one!
Whether you have played a lot or are new to squash, this session is for women to get together for some structured coaching and tips in a relaxed format.
Racketball Training - NEW!!
A session that is for those ‘racketballers’ that want to hone their skills as well as some practice games with a coach on hand for handy tips. We would also like to welcome those wanting to try racketball out that have perhaps not had a chance to give racketball a go yet.
We’ve gone for a lunchtime slot so that anyone working from home has the opportunity to come along.
The first session will be on Thursday 23rd September. This is the first time we have tried a racketball session, and we’re really hoping for your support to launch it successfully and make it a fixture in the timetable.
Skills & Drills
Aimed at those box league players are that are not team players. Again, a coach is on hand to give useful tips and set up specific drills.
I look forward to hearing from you.
