Welcome to the Tennis Section
We have a friendly, sociable tennis section comprising of approximately 700 members, offering first class facilities for players of all standards from juniors and beginners up to national league level.
Facilities
- 11 outdoor tennis courts (10 floodlit) across 3 surfaces; 7 x Tiger Turf, 3 x Grand Llano clay 1 x tarmac.
- 2 indoor ‘Kushion’ courts
- REBOWALL hitting wall
- Courts open daily 07.00 – 22.30 (22.00 indoors)
- Non-members pay & play indoors
Coaching
Our coaching programme is managed by Berkhamsted Tennis & Fitness (BTF). Our LTA qualified team offer expert coaching to adults and juniors, 7 days a week.
Group, 1-1 and holiday camp sessions are available for members and non-members at all levels. Members receive a discounted rate.
Juniors
Coaching, holiday camps, Friday Junior Club Night, mini tournaments and junior box leagues are all key to the success of our thriving junior section.
All our child-friendly coaches are DBS checked and LTA qualified. Sessions are suitable from age 3+
Social Sessions
Find the most suitable organised social session at the right time for you. We offer several sessions at different times throughout the week and weekend, catering for all playing levels. Tuesday evening is our principle intermediate club night with an early and late session.
Box Leagues
We run both singles and doubles box leagues for adults as well as a junior box league which is open to members 10 years +. The boxes operate all year round and are a great way to play more tennis and meet other members of a similar playing ability.
Teams & Fixtures
Men, women and juniors of all levels participate in several local leagues, playing against other clubs in Hertfordshire and the Aylesbury area year round. We also have a Men’s team in the National League. We welcome interest from members of all abilities to join match practice on Wednesdays.
Indoor Tennis Centre
Our two indoor ‘Kushion Courts’ offer year round play and are available for members and non-members to hire. Rates vary with season, time of day and membership status.
Non-members need to book and pay in advance through the club office and can be set up with an online booking account for regular play.
