Welcome to the Tennis Section
We are very proud to be a Tennismark certified Club. Tennis membership at BLT&SRC offers you year-round social and team tennis, a competitive singles league, regular tournaments for all levels, a very strong junior section. A large team of qualified tennis coaches run group coaching as well as one-to-one lessons.
The club has 2 indoor tennis courts and 11 outdoor tennis courts, all of which are floodlit. Our courts are a mixture of carpet, synthetic grass, artificial clay and tarmac surfaces.
The floodlights cost £4.80 per court per hour and the lights are bookable through the kiosk at the Club only. Tennis facilities are available from 7am until 11pm daily.
We run a competitive box league through both summer and winter which is another great way to play more tennis and meet members. For more information please go to our Tennis Box Leagues page or contact the tennis box leagues organiser Dan White on 01442 874831 or email email@example.com.
Club Night & Social Tennis
Our main tennis Club Night is every Tuesday evening from 7pm, all year round. Just turn up and play. If you are new to the Club or if you haven't been to Club night before, speak to Phil Trimmer (our Club Night organiser) when you arrive and he will show you the ropes! There is a nominal charge of £2 to cover floodlights. Standard is intermediate.
We run a Sunday morning social session from 10am - midday. Just turn up and mix in. Intermediate standard. This session runs every Sunday except for the last Sunday of the month when there is an American Tournament in the afternoon.
Tuesday mornings from 9am is Ladies Club Morning at Saturday mornings from 9am is Gents Club morning. Again, members just turn up and play.
We also run various social tennis activities throughout the year including a monthly American Tournament which takes place on the last Sunday of each month. In August we have a month of Friday evening social tennis events starting from 7pm. Keep your eye on the noticeboard and emails for more information.
Men, ladies and juniors take part in several local leagues, playing against other clubs in Hertfordshire and the area around Aylesbury, all through the year. For more information go to our Club Teams & Fixtures page.

Wimbledon Draw and British Tennis Membership (BTM)
As an LTA affiliated Tennis Club we are allocated a number of pairs of Wimbledon tickets each year. The Club holds a ballot in May where members are pulled out of a hat at random and tickets are allocated accordingly. To be eligible to enter the draw the LTA stipulates that all club members are also members of British Tennis. It’s free to join! If you want to know more about the benefits and to join British Tennis please visit the following website http://www.lta.org.uk/britishtennismembership. Watch out for an email about the Wimbledon draw which is noraly in April or May – you will be asked to put your name up on the tennis notice board to enter along with your British Tennis Membership number and you will be required to attend the ballot in order to win tickets. All club members over the age of 9yrs old are eligible to enter the draw.

Senior members may bring guests to the club. A member may only bring the same guest up to 6 times a year. All guests must be signed into the black visitors book by the TV in the Players bar and a visitor fee paid. We normally hold 2 open days each year in June and September. On these occasions we waive the adult member joining fee of £50. Current members will have 10% on their subs payment for the following year if they refer a new adult full playing member.
Non members are welcome to book the indoor courts or 'pay and play' on one of the outdoor courts (term and conditions apply). Indoor court rates can be found on our Indoor Tennis Centre page. Outdoor 'pay and play' rates range from £12 to £15 depending on the court surface and hirings are for 90 minutes. Outdoor courts can only be booked by non members in off peak times and only up to 6 times a year. Only one court at at time may be booked by a non member.
