Welcome to the Squash & Squash 57 Section
We have a friendly and sociable squash & squash 57 (formerly known as racketball) section. This comprises of approximately 350 members offering excellent facilities for players of all standards from juniors and beginners up to national level and full professional players. We offer year-round social and team squash & squash 57, a competitive box league, regular tournaments for all levels, junior coaching courses and two qualified squash & squash 57 coaches who offer group coaching as well as one-to-one lessons.
The Club also regularly hosts England Squash & squash 57 sanctioned events, regional squads and County matches.
We have six courts - two of which are glass backed with seating for approximately 40 people. The remaining four courts have a viewing gallery.
Court Times and Booking
Court sessions last for 45 minutes. Sessions are divided into peak, when the courts are £4.50 per 45 minute session and off peak when the courts are £3.50 per 45 minute session. Peak time is from Monday to Friday 5.15pm to 9.30pm. All other times are off peak, including weekends.

Many members participate in the Club squash & squash 57 leagues which offer all players (from novice to first team) the chance to play competitively against men, women or juniors of a similar standard. The leagues operate throughout the year. For any enquiries or to join the squash or Racketball boxes please contact Robert Hueting on 07736 073333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
From October through until May, squash & squash 57 club night takes place on the first and third Friday of each month from 7pm to 9.30pm. Members of all abilities are welcome to come along and play and have a drink in the bar afterwards. This is a great opportunity to meet other squash & squash 57 players and play people of different standards.
We have Men's, Ladies and Junior teams participating in the Herts League in both the summer and winter. Our Vets also play in the Middlesex League in the winter. See our Club Teams & Fixtures page for further information.
Numerous Club tournaments are held during the year for all ages and standards culminating in the grand finals day around May time. We also host regular England Squash sanctioned open tournaments at the Club.
Our Head Coach Adam Fuller (England Squash Accredited Lead Regional Coach for the East Area) and assistant coach, Mike Evans, provide coaching for juniors, beginners and improvers on a group or one-to-one basis. Racketball has recently been rebranded to squash 57. We have a sizeable and growing squash 57 division here at BLT&SRC with in the region of 10 boxes in the leagues. For more information on squash 57 click here.
We have a strong and growing junior squash & squash 57 section at the Club with regular group coaching sessions for all levels from minis and beginners through to elites. Goggles are available to borrow from the coaches or the office.
Balls & Grips
Please note that we sell squash and racketball ball grips at the bar and from the office.
We normally hold 2 open days each year in June and September. On these occasions we waive the adult member joining fee of £50. The Open Days are a great family day out and include free coaching and play, exhibition matches, a bouncy castle and BBQ. Current members will have 10% on their subs payment for the following year if they refer a new adult full playing member.
Guests & Visitor Fees
Senior members may bring guests to the club. A member may only bring the same guest up to 6 times a year. All guests must be signed into the black visitors book by the TV in the Players bar and a visitor fee paid. Visitor fees can be paid by purchasing stamps from the stamp machine and inserting them into the book by the guest name. It is important that guests are signed in for insurance purposes.
Visitor fees are currently £4 per senior guest and £2 per junior guest. Please note that the stamp machine only accepts £1 coins.
