Just a quick update on our superstars of tomorrow. Several of the clubs squash juniors travelled to Manchester last weekend to play in the British Junior Championship along with Adam, also taking the trip up to oversee the Berko players as well as being there on national duties.  There were plenty of good performances with some fantastic results to go with it.

Katie Malliff retained her title as U15 British Champion not dropping a game all tournament, whilst her sister Olivia Philips exceeded her seeding finishing 6th in the U15 Girls event too.  To complete a fantastic representation in the girls U15 event, Amy Pullen finished 8th

Siblings Alice and Ollie Green who are also part of the Elite squad that trains at BLTSRC finished highly with Alice narrowly losing out the Scottish no1 in the final and Ollie losing in a tight semi final for them to finish 2nd in U17 girls and 3rd in U15 boys respectively.  Also in the U17 girls event, Margot Prow came 3rd after losing the Scottish no1 in the semi final but had a great win in the playoffs.

Brothers Hasnaat and Zan Farooqi had mixed fortunes with Hasnaat having to withdraw injured and therefore finishing 15th in the U19 boys event whlist Zan exceeded his seeding finishing 22nd in the boys U15 event.

Moving away from the juniors, Grace Gear who has now moved in to the seniors and the professional ranks has just come back from a few events in Europe with the some quarter final finishes and a semi final place on the World Tour.  These results could get Grace very close to the top 100 in the world.

A big well done to all these players and it is a testament to all their hard work and dedication to the sport.

Please don't forget there are plenty of sessions available each week to get your children involved in the squash section.  Who knows, they could be the next British Champion out of Berko!!!
