The government has indicated that rules about playing outdoor sports are to be relaxed this week, for people living in the same household. The club is waiting for specific details later today.

The outdoor courts and all other club facilities are still closed, and will remain closed, until we have finalised the details of the new playing arrangements.

When the outdoor tennis courts are able to re-open there will certainly be changes to the way the courts are allocated to members. In addition, there will be changes to way you play tennis at the club. Members must book a court and familiarise themselves with the playing arrangements before they consider visiting the club to play.

The club is expecting to receive new guidelines from the LTA imminently. After these have been published, the club will digest the information, formulate a course of action, and then update the members about the way these new guidelines will be applied. Specific details of the new booking system and playing arrangements will only be given at the time we announce the re-opening of the outdoor tennis courts.

Obviously the club will do everything possible to react quickly once the new rules and guidance is published by the government and the LTA. In the meantime, the club ask that members remain patient and we hope to be in a position to bring you good news very soon now.
