For info: Club Vision & Purpose

In our June newsletter we mentioned that the club’s vision statement is now 10 years old and the Club Council were in course of refreshing it for the next 10-year horizon.

We have published the new version to our website [here], together with a purpose statement. The new declarations are designed with the following in mind:

1. aligning our operational actions and investment planning with our goals and objectives;
2. a Vision that concisely encapsulates our strategic desire for the club;
3. a Purpose that underpins the Vision but is more present tense and drills down to the next level of detail about what we do, how we do it, and how we assess it. Among the assessment methods is a biennial opinion survey. 

Tennis

Our mens and ladies teams are soon to play their 1st rounds in the Herts League Harris Cup, a knockout competition with finals in October. Thanks to Dan and Kate for taking on these teams. The ladies are hoping to reach the finals for a second time.

Also, our club is proudly hosting the finals of the Aylesbury League Bronze, Silver and Gold mixed knockout competitions on Wednesday 24th September. Our team, run by Jenny and Matt, is due to play their semi-final at home on Thursday 11th September, and hopefully reach the finals of the Gold Cup. It would be great for our members to come along and support them if they do, so please put the date in your diaries. Claire and Graham will be providing some nibbles.
