The club will be hosting the third annual fun charity tennis tournament, in aid of the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.  This will be on Sunday 23rd September from 2pm, organised by Caroline Walker, a longstanding club member.

All ages and abilities are welcome, everyone will mix round in an "American" style tournament.  No need to come with a playing partner and if it rains, we'll play in the ITC.

After we've enjoyed some fun tennis there will be delicious tea and cake and a great raffle, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses.  

Or come along and join us for afternoon tea, from 4pm - everyone is welcome.

Caroline is organising this fun tournament in memory of her father, Tony Walker, who died of pancreatic cancer aged only 58.  This cancer has only a 3% survival rate, unchanged in 40 years.  Funding of research is needed to find earlier diagnosis and treatment.
