Welcome to the Squash & Squash57 Section
We have a friendly and sociable squash & squash57 (formerly known as racketball) section. This comprises of approximately 350 members offering excellent facilities for players of all standards from juniors and beginners up to national level and full professional players. We offer year-round social and team squash & squash57, a competitive box league, regular tournaments for all levels, junior coaching courses and a team of qualified squash & squash57 coaches who offer group coaching as well as one-to-one lessons. The Club also regularly hosts England Squash & squash57 sanctioned events, regional squads and County matches. FacilitiesWe have six courts - four of which are glass backed with seating for approximately 40 people plus an upper level viewing gallery. All new members will be provided with a new racket grip to avoid the situation where old grips disintegrate when playing and mark the floor. Only clean, indoor non-marking footwear is to be worn on court.
Court Times and BookingUsually the court fees for adults are £6 peak and £5 off-peak. Peak times are 17:00 onwards Monday to Friday and off peak is all other times, including weekends. Each court session is 45 minutes. For juniors, charges for the courts are £6 peak and just £3 at all other times.

Box LeaguesMany members participate in the Club squash & squash57 leagues which offer all players (from novice to first team) the chance to play competitively against men, women or juniors of a similar standard. The leagues operate throughout the year.

Club TeamsWe have Men's and Junior teams participating in the Herts League in both the summer and winter. Our Vets also play in the Middlesex League in the winter. Tournaments & Social Playing SessionsSeveral organised social playing sessions and tournaments are held during the year for all ages and standards. We also host regular England Squash sanctioned open tournaments at the Club. CoachingOur Head Coach Adam Fuller (England Squash Accredited Lead Regional Coach for the East Area) and assistant coach, Grace Gear, provide coaching for juniors, beginners and improvers on a group or one-to-one basis. Squash57 (Racketball)Racketball has been rebranded to squash57. We have a sizeable and growing squash57 division here at BLT&SRC with in the region of 10 boxes in the leagues. JuniorsWe have a strong and growing junior squash & squash57 section at the Club with regular group coaching sessions for all levels from minis and beginners through to elites. Please note that safety goggles must be worn by all juniors playing at the Club. Goggles are available to borrow from the coaches or the office.
Ladies SquashWe are currently growing our female squash and squash57 memberhip base. We also have a level 2 female coach, Grace Gear, who is currently 85 in the world (England 11) in the women’s game. We have run a ladies session run by a female coach so if you are interested in finding out more please contact us at manager@bltsrc.co.uk.
Squash BeginnersFrom November 6th 2024 we are running squash beginner sessions on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 - 7.30pm. To register your interest or book, please email maanger@bltsrc.co.uk. Balls & GripsPlease note that we sell squash and racketball ball grips at the bar and from the office. We have had some incidences recently where old grips have been disintegrating on court and when trod on leave permanent marks on the floor so please ensure that you have a decent grip on your racket. Guests & Visitor FeesSenior members may bring guests to the club. A member may only bring the same guest up to 6 times a year. It is important that guests are signed in for insurance purposes. You can add and pay for a guest when you make your court booking. Visitor fees for squash are currently £5 per senior guest and £3 per junior guest.
