Welcome to the Junior Tennis Section
The club actively promotes junior tennis. Juniors are encouraged to obtain LTA ratings and enter club box leagues, ladders, U14 Road to Wimbledon Challenge, Three Counties events, County Clublink Leagues and other open club events to develop experience, ratings and matchplay skills. The Chiltern League and Swain Cup is an introduction programme to obtain match experience. Other teams include Herts and National Junior Club Leagues.
Teams are entered in the Herts Leagues (boys and girls) during the summer and winter. For younger players we currently enter three teams in the U12 Chiltern League. An annual tournament is open to all juniors with finals normally held in September.
Juniors always have priority on court 3.
Junior Club Night
Friday evening is junior club night. Group coaching is available in term time but throughout the year Friday nights are for Junior social play. Organised tennis by coaches between 6.30pm and 8.30pm .
