Social Events

A small Social Committee meets about every 2nd month to review the recent Club social events and discuss/develop ideas for events to get members together and increase usage of the Club facilities/bar.

Other events that have been well supported have been:

  • Fireworks Event in November 
  • Quiz Nights - which take place 3-4 times a year
  • Malaysian Dinner Evening
  • Blues Night
  • Murder Mystery Night

    Upcoming Events Include:
  • Quiz Night - Saturday 20th September - includes a fish and chip supper.  Tables of 6 at £5 per person.
  • Parent & Child Tennis Tournament - Saturday 20th September 1pm - This is a fun tournament for parents and children.  The tournament will be in the format of a ‘round robin’ and players will be grouped accordingly to ability and/or age.  Sign up on the noticeboard at the club to enter.
  • Squash Exhibition Match - Friday 26th September - between former world number 1 Peter Nicol MBE and our very own Adam Fuller.  Tickets now all sold out.
  • Club Open Day - Sunday 28th September 11am - 3pm - bring your family and friends along for a fun family day!  There will be a bbq and you can come and play Tennis, Squash, Racketball and Table Tennis for FREE!  You will also be able to meet our coaches and members, watch exhibition matches and try out and buy rackets and sports equipment.
  • Annual Club Dinner Dance - Saturday 1st November - to be held at the Old Town Hall, Berkhamsted High Street,  3 course dinner and live music, 7.30pm - 1am.  Price is £36 per person or £8 for just drinks and dancing from 9.30pm - 1am.  Sign up on the noticeboard at the club.
  • Fireworks Night - Friday 7th November - come and enjoy fireworks at the club.  Time & price TBC.
  • Jazz Evening - Saturday 22nd November - time and price TBC

    Further details of all the above events will be sent by email to all members nearer the event date and there will also be posters up at the Club with full details.  If you would like to talk to someone about any of the events please contact any member of the Social Committee.

    The events need members' support so watch the noticeboard and the website for details,  Suggestions for new events, and volunteers to help organise them, are always welcomed.
